We have opportunities for all ages:
This on-line article captures some key points: Jesus is the center
of all that a catechist does. From the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Every catechist should be able to apply to himself the mysterious words of Jesus: ‘My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.” (CCC paragraph 427 quoting Catechesi Tradendae)
Humility is also important, as a catechist learns along with the children, is someone who sparks wonder, and who genuinely listens and responds to students. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matt 18:20).
Kindly reflect on this call to become a catechist and get to know the children and families of Our Lady of the Rosary. (Thank you to Karen C. for sharing this article and reflection)
