Why VIRTUS? “Protecting God’s Children” The VIRTUS class is not just for those planning to teach our children. It’s about informing & empowering you to protect your children, all of our children, as well as vulnerable adults, anywhere, at every stage of life.
If you are considering taking the VIRTUS class but not sure, “jump off the fence” and please sit in on the 3-hour class (in-person or online option). A small time commitment with a BIG impact.
Parents/Parishioners—Why is this important? VIRTUS isn’t about placing blame. Many who complete the training say it gives them a deeper understanding, a stronger sense of responsibility, and the confidence to act when it matters most. if you are considering volunteering to help w/the Christian Formation program in Sept. 2025, now is the time to get VIRTUS trained. VIRTUS is more than a requirement—it’s a commitment to building a parish rooted in trust, awareness, and care.
Don’t wait. Be ready. Be informed. Be part of a safer, stronger parish community.

Youth:
We believe that parents are the primary religious educators of their children. By their vocation, they are officially charged with the spiritual care of their child’s formation as Catholics. We believe that our role is to assist parents in this obligation by providing learning materials as well as opportunities for the children to be with their peers for educational and/or service experiences. To that end, we rely on Virtus trained adults to lead those gatherings. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer, and let us know if you are already Virtus-trained or are willing to participate in Virtus training. Information about this (https://
We work with families to prepare their children for First Penance, First Communion, and Confirmation.
Adults/RCIA:
We encourage you to learn more about our faith in whatever ways are most comfortable for you, and we welcome you and stand ready to answer any questions you may have. Throughout the year we welcome those who are considering beginning the process of initiation and coming into full communion with the Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
Infant Baptism:
This preparation is for families seeking Baptism for their infants or preschool children ages 6 and younger.
