JOB OPPORTUNITY
- OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY IS SEEKING A FULL-TIME COORDINATOR OF YOUTH FORMATION
  We are seeking a full-time Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation for Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Crozet, Virginia. This is a brand new parish in a growing area with a growing Catholic community.
  
  The Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation is responsible for programs K through five, grades 6 to 8 (EDGE), and grades 9 to 12 (LIFE TEEN). The Coordinator is responsible for forming teams of core volunteers for these ministries as well as for youth sacraments: first reconciliation, first communion and confirmation.
  
  The Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation will work in collaboration with the parish staff, and also work directly with parents, catechists, aides and other volunteers. The Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation must be a practicing Catholic in good standing and must adhere to Catholic teaching and demonstrate a commitment of the Church in the performance of his/her ministry. Proficiency with office productivity applications (Microsoft Office Suite/ Google/ FlockNote) is necessary.
  
  Attendance at local, regional and diocesan meetings related to the position will necessitate some time away from the parish. The work schedule is established through dialogue with the pastor and can be adjusted to maintain workflow and avoid excessive hours.

- Youth:
  We believe that parents are the primary religious educators of their children. By their vocation, they are officially charged with the spiritual care of their child’s formation as Catholics. We believe that our role is to assist parents in this obligation by providing learning materials as well as opportunities for the children to be with their peers for educational and/or service experiences. To that end, we rely on Virtus trained adults to lead those gatherings.   We work with families to prepare their children for First Penance, First Communion, and Confirmation.
  
  Adults/RCIA:
  We encourage you to learn more about our faith in whatever ways are most comfortable for you, and we welcome you and stand ready to answer any questions you may have. Throughout the year we welcome those who are considering beginning the process of initiation and coming into full communion with the Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
